How to Reach Barren Island from Havelock
Barren Island is accessed by boat from Havelock (Swaraj Dweep), with the journey crossing the open Andaman Sea. Our expedition departs before sunrise and spends the day offshore, allowing guests to experience the volcanic island from the water. The route and itinerary remain dependent on sea conditions, weather and required permissions.

Set out from Havelock before sunrise aboard a purpose-built offshore boat and cross the open Andaman Sea towards Barren Island. As you approach the volcanic island, experience the dramatic landscape from the water before continuing to the surrounding reef zones and offshore fishing grounds.

Can we go to Barren Island from Havelock?

No. Landing on Barren Island is not permitted. The experience is conducted entirely from the water, allowing guests to view the island and its active volcanic landscape from offshore. All visits remain subject to applicable permissions, sea conditions, weather and local regulations.
Is snorkelling guaranteed?
Snorkelling is included but subject to sea conditions and visibility at the time of the visit.
Is this suitable for children?
Minimum age is 10 years. This expedition is best suited for adults and older teens comfortable with long sea journeys.

Barren Island is monitored by geological authorities. We maintain safe distances and follow all safety protocols.
